Why Are Patients Showing Up Multiple Times - Troubleshooting Guide

In Mirah, cases may arise where patients show up multiple times in the patient search. This can lead to a variety of platform issues that can make it difficult to manage patients. The following are potential reasons and solutions when encountering multiple patients:


Basic troubleshooting steps:

  • Check to see if the names of the patients are an exact match. Two profiles could have names that are very similar but not the same, meaning they are two different patients
  • If patient names are an exact match, check their profile to see if there are differentiating factors. The patients could be two different people with the same name
  • Look to see if the patient Id numbers are the same. Two patient profiles can still be duplicates if they have different ID numbers

Solutions:

For security purposes, patient profiles can only be deleted by Mirah. If you have gone through the above steps, and are having your work impacted by duplicate patients, contact support@mirah.com with the links to both patient records, indicating the patient record you would like to keep and the patient record that can be deleted.
