What a Patient Sees

Patients typically experience the following when completing measures:

First, they will receive a notification either via text or email alerting them that measures for their next therapy session need to be completed.

Before completing any measures, patients will be asked to log in using either their birthdate or the last four digits of their social security number. Your organization decides which piece of information is required here.

Next, they will view a welcome screen.

Patients will then view the crisis instructions screen. This language emphasizes that MBC is not meant to be used in the case of emergencies. We work with leadership at each organization to ensure this language matches the advisories patients receive from your organization generally.

Next, patients will start the measures assigned to them. Measures taken by patients can vary, but some questions include severity scales, yes or no options, or multiple-choice options.

The first time a patient completes measures, they are asked to verify their email and phone number as well as indicate their notification preferences.

After completing their measure, patients will see a screen thanking them for their answers. patients must click “Finish” in order to record their responses and officially submit the measure.

Patient Access to Measures

To complete measures, patients will be asked to verify either their date of birth or Social Security Number (SSN). Which piece of information is required of patients is determined by your organization's preference. This will be the only way patients can access measures or "log in" as a patient.

If a patient is having trouble logging in to complete measures, make sure they are entering the correct information on the log in screen. Your organization will decide if patients will be asked for their date of birth or the last four digits of their Social Security Number (SSN). Ensure they are entering the correct information on this screen. It may also be beneficial to make sure their birthdate or SSN is correct within Mirah (do this by accessing the patient’s Details page). If this information is incorrect, edit it by clicking the “Edit Demographics” button on the patient’s Details page.
