Feature Guide - Patient Enablement Button Replacement

For customers that had been using the orange Patient Enablement Button (PEB), the “Participation in Measurement Based Care” functionality has replaced it. Specifically, enabling or disabling automatic measurement is now at the care episode level, not at the patient level. This means that if a patient has more than one active episode of care, automatic measurement will need to be turned on or off for each individually. 

How to use the Participation in MBC functionality:

1. Navigate to the “Patient Details” screen.
2. Scroll to the Episodes of Care section and click the “Details” button for the episode of care you’d like to view or change.
3. View the “Participating in MBC” badge and tooltip to understand if the episode of care is currently receiving automatically generated measures.
4. Use the “Measurement Allowed” toggle under “Settings” to turn automatic measurement for the patient’s episode of care “On” or “Off”.
